Space Needle Activities

You do not need to go very far to enjoy a rainy day in Gatlinburg. Right here at the Space Needle, we offer a number of fun indoor activities, including Lazer Tag and Arcadia, Gatlinburg’s largest arcade. You can also get a bite to eat at our Flying Saucer Italian Bistro.

Ripley’s Attractions

Ripley’s operates a number of fun family attractions here in Gatlinburg, including Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, which boast 350 different marine species. Sharks are the aquarium’s most popular residents, but you should also check out the

piranhas, penguins and clownfish. Live shows are offered throughout the day.

Another option is Ripley’s Believe It or Not Odditorium, which like’s to call itself the “strangest place in Gatlinburg” and we are inclined to agree. If you are eager to see shrunken human heads, this is the place to go.

Other Ripley’s indoor attractions in Gatlinburg include the Marvelous Mirror Maze and Candy Factory and the Guinness World Records Museum.

Indoor Water Park

Rain or shine, you can enjoy the 60,000-square-foot Wild Bear Falls Water Park, located at the Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort. There are slides, shallow pools for young children, a gift shop and an arcade.

Shop ‘Til The Last Drop

Gatlinburg is a fun place to hit the stores and a rainy day is a perfect excuse to buy yourself a nice gift. So grab your umbrella and head to one of Gatlinburg’s quaint malls.
