A cabin stay is the signature Smoky Mountain lodging experience. Fortunately there are numerous rental services in Gatlinburg that recognize that four-legged friends are important members of many families. If you are planning a trip to Gatlinburg and need to bring your pet, you are in luck, as many cabins in the area will welcome Fluffy or Fido, albeit with some conditions. Here are a few options to consider:
Cobby Nob Rentals offers a variety of pet-friendly cabins ranging from one to eight bedrooms. There is $15 charge per night if you bring a pet and he or she must weight no more than 25 pounds. As a side note, Cobbly Nob has a nice, easy to nagivate website that offers “virtual tours” of many of their cabin.
While many cabin rentals only allow dogs, American Mountain Rentals
has a few pet-friendly properties in Gatlinburg that also allow cats and birds. Pets must weight 30 pounds or less, which shouldn’t be a problem if your pet is a cat or a bird. (If you have a dog over 30 pounds, see the option below.) There is a $50 pet cleaning fee per pet.
If you have a larger dog, you should consider renting a pet-friendly cabin through Hearthside Cabin Rentals, which allows up dogs up to 75 pounds. There is a $75 fee for dogs that between 36 and 75 pounds. If your dog weights 35 pounds or less, the fee drops to $55. You are allowed to bring no more than two dogs and must pay a fee for each.
