Things to Do in Gatlinburg This Fall

Things to Do in Gatlinburg This FallIt’s almost here, folks! Our favorite time of year at the Space Needle: fall, autumn, the months of the year when the Smokies get colorful and transform into multiple shades of orange, red, purple, and yellow. It is, in our humble opinion, the MOST beautiful time of year in the Smokies. We like to think we are experts on fall in Gatlinburg (really we are just extreme aficionados), so we are going to put our expertise (or fandom) to good use and tell you the best ways to enjoy the most beautiful time of year: fall in Gatlinburg.

Take a Drive Through the Mountains

If you want to see the best the mountains have to offer this fall, take a drive right through the middle of them. It is also likely that you will see more than just colors; a drive in the mountains will probably also produce some wildlife sightings (maybe even a bear) and breathtaking mountain views — in full color thanks to autumn. A few good drives to make include, Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail and Newfound Gap Road.
